Our story

Once a film studio, Event Lounge has a fascinating story that should be told.

In 2008, this venue, at the time known as SAP Lounge, became the epicentre of business activity in Brussels, providing a space for renowned companies such as Deloitte, Accenture and IBM. With its baroque yet laid-back style, the space was not only used as a workplace, but also as a  place for people to come together.

People who knew SAP Lounge certainly remember it as an event space, but even more so as a community, hence its initial slogan “Business & Beyond“. On the first floor, in the restaurant, companies made connections, employees met and shared their experiences, and exchanges continued to blossom in the lounge areas.

In 2009, SAP Lounge evolved into the multipurpose space you know today as Event Lounge. Although its name and appearance have undergone transformations, its fundamental mission remains unchanged: to offer its corporate customers an exceptional event space with a human touch, fostering learning, sharing, and connections. And therein lies the meaning of its current slogan: “More than a venue, it’s a way of life”.

The venue

The space offers:

  • 2 outdoor areas (terrace and balcony), 145 m² in total
  • A studio of over 1000 m² that can be divided into 2 zones
  • A large, bright and welcoming reception area
  • 2 upstairs conference rooms with seating for 75 and 120 people respectively
  • 5 meeting rooms ranging from 30 m² to 65 m², with an open-plan relaxation area that can be converted into a conference and/or workshop venue
  • Multiple additional spaces: reception, cloakroom, catering area, kitchen, carport, toilets, lift, etc.

Sustainable corporate events

Ecology has become a major concern in the events sector.

As with other dside venues (The EGG, Mix, Jeux d’Hiver), Event Lounge is committed to reducing its environmental impact by implementing sustainable practices such as waste management, reduced energy consumption, and the use of environmentally-friendly products.

We also work with local suppliers to promote social responsibility and support the community.

Access

The venue has a private car park with 150 spaces, equipped with 4 free charging points for electric cars. Event Lounge is accessible by tram, bus, shuttle, and train station.

Parking for bicycles is also available. For your suppliers, access is provided via our carport.

Partners

The venue works with various technical partners, caterers, and hoteliers. Every one of these people knows the venue inside out, which contributes to making your event successful and memorable.

You are free to work with the suppliers and caterers of your choice on payment of a corkage fee.
